MORNINGTON PENINSULA.



In November 1983 The Rosebud Rotary Club set up a
Committee that researched the demand for a Probus Club in
the district. They were convinced that there was a need to
enhance the intrerest of the retired and semi retired men ad so,
on Tuesday 7th Febuary 1984 the club was formed.

On Tuesday 3rd Febuary 2009 there was a luncheon which celebrated
25 years of meeting the requirements of the Club's Mission Statement
and was a recommittal to the future.

AND CULTURAL INTERESTS AND TO FOSTER A
VIBANT SOCIAL ATMOSPHERE FOR THOSE MEMBERS"


Retiring President John Abbey removes the Collar of Office to induct
Peter Swan OAM as the 29th President of the club.

Peter was awarded the Order of Australia Medal because of his
ongoing commitment to the Volunteer Coastguard

...................................................3. Ray Briggs. He is a Past President and has an award for his dedication to service
.......................................................to the public. He’s an “I’ll do that”committee man.
...................................................4. Nigel Edwards. A 25year veteran who is occasionally referred to as “Father
.......................................................Time”. An invaluable committee man with his knowledge of the clubs history.
.......................................................Known and admired on the Peninsula as a very caring Celebrant.
...................................................5. Mike O’Sullivan. Mike leads the Walking and Touring Group and now has even
.......................................................taken on the Theatre activity. A supreme organizer.
...................................................6. Len Hedger. Len is another long term committed Probian. A regular attender of
.......................................................activities and the Golfing Group. He also generously lets his wife be President of
.......................................................the ladies Club.
...................................................7. Tony MacKintosh. Tony is the present Secretary. He is a past Treasurer and
.......................................................President. He grumbles a lot but enjoys working with a committee dedicated to
.......................................................running an efficient club.
